Senior Mechanical Engineer, Frankfurt, Germany

My client  is one of the leading solar photovoltaic (PV) manufacturers globally specializing in thin-film solar PV cells and modules. They are looking to recuit a senuior mechanical Engineer to work on their BiPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaics) projects. 

Responsibilities:-

• Direct and supervise (on-site) commercial Photovoltaic Installation
• Support and supervision of manufacturing and installation
• Preparation of samples and test setups in-house

• Attended site qualification visits to collect information required to complete the design and permitting of large-scale solar BiPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaics) projects
• Oversee the development of all designs for BiPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaics) that meet customer defined requirements
• Coordinated the development of a bill of material for each project based on the final approved design
• Design and construction of supporting structures and substructures for individual BiPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaics) Solutions

Requirements:-

• You will have at least 3-5 years direct expericence in mechanical engineering in structural building sector and/or metal construction(background in BiPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaics) preferred)
• Fluent in English and German

• Must have strong educational background (MSc Engineering in Mechanical Engineering)
• Strong technical background
• Good communication skills
• Extensive knowledge in the area of mechanics, material science and construction
• Good experience in CAD-systems like Autocad or similar and electrical engineering are desirable
