My client is global energy producer within the renewable energy sector with a strong global presence within the wind industry and an exceptional reputation. They are one of the world's leading renewable energy developers who develop, construct and operate projects.
Position Overview:
The senior manager will be responsible for the offshore department and will oversee the development, technical analysis and project management of offshore wind parks throughout Europe.
Responsibilities:-
- · Manage the project development team responsible for the development and construction of offshore wind parks
- · Negotiate EPC contracts for multi-megawatt wind farms
- · Proactively sourcing new potential sites for offshore wind projects
- · Develop projects by cooperation with offshore wind developers
- · Manage and negotiate long-term contracts with partners, vendors, Legal teams and customers
- · Gather direct and indirect information related to the project
- · Initial feasibility study of the project and recommendation to management and HQ
- · Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
- · Manage projects by setting priorities and expectations, problem solving, communicating ongoing status updates
- · Prepare and manage budget forecasts and vision for long term operations and maintenance (O&M) planning
- · Oversee project controls and data management systems development
- · Ensure compliance with requirements of all commercial contracts
- · Negotiation and acquisition of lease agreements; securing grid connections and building permits
- · Project negotiations (with diverse project partners like local developers, IPPs or utilities)
- · Negotiating terms and closing deals
- Due Diligence relating to specific projects, potential contractors and new projects
- Participating in the draw up of bid documents and contracts
- Evaluating and selecting offers from contractors
- Planning and organizing of projects
- EPC organizing, partnering, strategic alliance with companies for wind projects
- Communication of legal and financial issues with support of relevant organizations
- Manage project to operation stage
- Full responsibility of the commercial, technical and organisational interests on site
- Supervise and oversee all commercial matters
Education:-
- · Must have a strong academic background, bachelors required
Core Requirements:-
- · A strong background working in the offshore energy market with experience in wind projects
- · Strong track record of project development, feasibility study and project management of offshore wind parks.
- · Fluency in German
- · 5+ years of extensive project development management experience
- · Experience of managing both external and internal stakeholders
- · Commercial, legal and basic technical knowledge for offshore wind farms
- · Good business network in offshore wind farm
