Ocean Conservancy is a nonprofit organization working for healthy oceans protected by a more just world. Our headquarters are in Washington, DC, and we have deep roots in Alaska, including a 12-person Arctic Team with staff in Anchorage, Eagle River and Juneau. Our work engages with Tribal and other Alaska Native partners, as well as government agencies, conservation NGOs and others. POSITION SUMMARY The Manager, Arctic Marine Debris Initiative works to expand Ocean Conservancy’s support for, and partnership with, Alaska communities, Tribes and other entities working to reduce the impacts of marine debris. This position plays a critical role in expanding the International Coastal Cleanup partner network by working in Alaska and the broader Arctic to increase the reach and impact of Ocean Conservancy, the International Coastal Cleanup and the Arctic Program. The Manager identifies opportunities to support cleanup events, coordinate partners and participate in regional or other planning efforts. In this way, the Manager is responsible for helping to steward, cultivate and enrich partnerships that advance the International Coastal Cleanup and Trash Free Seas and Arctic Program goals. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
COMPENSATION Ocean Conservancy is committed to equity in its pay practices and posts the minimum and midpoint of the range for each of its open positions. Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and commensurate with the skills, years of experience and unique background of the candidate. Salary minimum is $63,400; salary midpoint is $85,400. Salary may be higher as appropriate for the selected candidate, with internal equity being considered.
