The ideal candidate is passionate about solving security, networking and compliance challenges in innovative ways. This person thrives and succeeds in analyzing the security of applications, databases, networks and discovering and addressing security issues while quickly reacting to new threat scenarios. He or she should be comfortable delivering high quality security research in a hyper-growth environment with quickly shifting priorities. The ideal candidate is comfortable providing implementation support, troubleshooting and proposal support for corporate security and data protection projects.
About You
- You have a BS in a relevant field and at least (4) plus years of experience in information security fields with specific web application testing with hands-on experience
- You have a strong foundation and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering
- You have a knowledge of network-based and system-level attacks and mitigation methods
- Capable of collaborating and providing input on security application engineering
- Capable of working on policies, procedures and audit compliance projects
- Provides security engineering, technical support and impact analysis for enterprise initiatives in compliance with enterprise security policies
- You are comfortable working with SQL and databases
- Experience writing and updating policies and auditing against them
- You have direct hands on experience performing penetration testing, toolsets and IDS/IPS product
- You have an understanding of OWASP Top 10 coding standards
- You have creative approaches to solving problems and good people skills.
- You can participate in a 24/7 operation responding to security events
- You function well in a fast-paced, informal environment where constant change is the norm and the bar for quality is set high.
- Experience must have an emphasis on network and information security.
- Self-Motivated and able to work without close supervision
- In depth familiarity with Windows and Unix operating systems and tools
- You have the ability to communicate complex ideas in succinct and compelling ways
- Security certifications (e.g., SANS, ISSMP, ISSAP, GIAC, CISSP) are desirable
- Experience in validating security controls found within NIST Special Publications 800-53, NISTIR 7628, PCI or ISO.
- Capable of wearing multiple hats and learning in a fun, creative
