Senior European Business Development Manager, Europe (Italy & UK)

My client is one of the leading heat waste organisations in the USA and are now looking to break into the European market. At present the organisation takes pride at running the most economically-viable technology for capturing waste heat to produce electricity in the global marketplace. Due to their recent success in the American market my client is looking for a senior waste to energy candidate to head up business development in their European offices in Italy and the UK. They are looking for a high calibre candidate with an engineering background. They need to be experienced in the waste to energy market in Europe, with landfill, waste heat, biofuels or palm oil knowledge. They must also have the ability to build relationships with dealer networks and expand the client base.

Roles include:

• Working on site to oversee the activities of the business (R&D, manufacturing, sales) and take decisions on new business development
• Generate and solicit new proposals, working with dealer networks across Europe
• Developing new business and entering new areas
• Create new leads and have aggressive sales acumen

Skills and qualifications needed:

• 3-5 years experience in the waste to energy sector with a proven track record in the industry.
• A keen interest in the waste industry and a passion for the growth of the renewable energy sector
• Must have a strong engineering background ( Masters Preferred)
•  The ability to work in Europe
• Must be fluent in English( spoken, written and reading)
• Proven track record within this area
• Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, detecting realistic solutions
• Ability to effectively manage time and budget or expense parameters
• Exceptional communications including interpersonal skills
• Must be willing to work independently, strong problem-solving
