Position Overview:
This position will involve working on a variety of wind farms across the UK, with a focus on offshore wind farms. The Senior Environmental Consultant will project manage and deliver project documents including multidisciplinary EIA projects, EIA/ESIA/ESHIA Reports and related technical studies to the highest standard in accordance with project timescales. The Senior Environmental Consultant will carry out site visits when required. As a key part of the EIA process you will also research issues and provide ideas, solutions and expertise to the team. The Senior Environmental Consultant will deliver business development proposals
Responsibilities:
• Manage environmental and social impact assessments
• Perform environmental and social due diligence on offshore wind farm across the UK
• Project manage delivery of documents including multidisciplinary EIA projects, EIA/ESIA/ESHIA Reports and related technical studies to the highest standard in accordance with project timescales.
• Analyse data and carry out site visits
• Research issues and provide ideas, solutions and expertise to the team.
• Lead business development efforts
• Develop and implement strategies to improve our service offering for clients
• Ensure that the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking, inspection and audit
• Co-ordinate and maintain the project environmental training programme.
Education:
BSc minimum in Environmental Science or related discipline
Core Requirements:
• The ideal candidate will have an EIA and/or environmental management background with significant experience
• 5+ years experience working in the environmental field
• Experience working on social and environmental impact assessments (SIA and EIA) on offshore wind farms
• Ideally would have experience working in an energy consultancy
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Proven knowledge of EIA/ESIA/ESHIA in the offshore wind industry

• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Ability to travel within the UK
• A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company
• Highly organised with a proven ability to project manage where necessary
• A strong scientific background and skill set
