My client provides reliable energy solutions to the UK onshore and offshore wind sector. They provide high calibre consultants with years of experience in the wind industry to provide support for investors, developers, manufacturers and other key clients in the industry.

 

Position Overview:

My client currently require an experienced senior engineer to work in the offshore or onshore wind farm sector in the UK you will work with a team of expert consultants in the Wind industry providing support and services to UK clients.

 

Responsibilities:

  • ·         You will be involved in overseeing the technical aspect of on and offshore wind farm developments during the constructing process and
  • ·         Providing technical support to clients and contractors across the wind farm project
  • ·         Liaising with senior program managers and project managers to develop strong working relationships within the company
  • ·         You will develop ongoing relationships with the clients in the wind industry
  • ·         Working to the highest standard to promote the company and ensure market recognition and future opportunities within the renewable energy field for the consultancy company
  • ·         Technical planning, studies and due diligence of proposed or operational wind farms
  • ·         Taking on a more senior role in motivating and mentoring those working on the renewable energy project either from within the consultancy company or the clients workforce 
  • ·         Overseeing the negotiations and procurement process with manufacturers and developing market contacts with those in the area
  • ·         You will have expertise in your particular field within the onshore and offshore wind market

 

Education:

You will have a degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or marine structural engineering

 

Core Requirements:

  • ·         A 4-10 years working in the Wind energy market with experience in wind farm project development
  • ·         Experience working with and liaising with a variety of clients and investors involved in the projects
  • ·         Excellent skills working in a senior engineering position preferably within the renewable energy sector
  • ·         Strong level of ambition in a desire to progress within the role
  • ·         Experience working in consultancy role is a plus
  • ·         You need to have an attention to detail and a mentality to strive for perfection within your workplace

 

General requirements

  • ·         Excellent relationship developing skills
  • ·         A technical background working on wind farm projects
  • ·         Excellent communication, written and presentation skills
  • ·         Fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • ·         A keen interest in the wind market and a desire to see it progress and be part of its development in Europe
  • ·         An ability to travel across the UK to various projects

 

Key skills

Onshore and Offshore wind farm projects experience, senior engineering experience, technical knowledge and long term desire to work in the renewable energy market
