Job description
We are currently looking for a Senior Engineer for our Peterborough office to assist in the business development and project management of flood alleviation work from conception through to hand-over and commissioning. Responsibilities will include:
Project Management and co-ordination of multidisciplinary teams.
Manage the preparation of prequalifications, proposals, bid documents and marketing literature
Undertake Feasibility Studies, Detailed Appraisals, Cost Benefit Analysis, Detailed Design, contract preparation and site supervision of Flood Alleviation Schemes
Supervise graduate engineers
Keep up to date with advancing technologies in flood risk management.
Your qualifications and experience
BEng Hons Civil Engineering (MEng – desirable)
Charter Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or CIWEM
Essentially the applicant would be a good communicator with a strong Technical background & Project Management experience.
Technical background in the appraisal and design of flood defences.
Experience of proposal writing and bid preparation; presentations and public speaking is desirable but not essential.
