ERM is seeking an energetic, self-starting Senior Consultant, Climate Change Practice to join our consulting firm in a MidAtlantic Office (PA, NJ, VA, MD) - Position is eligible for Partner in Training program
Direct line to office head or regional operating company head Dotted line to Northern Region Climate Change Practice Leader Part of the ERM North America Climate Change network
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: - Support and grow a well rounded team of climate change practitioners.
- Participate in training programs to cross-train staff to help keep ERM at the leading edge of the climate change market.
- Activities include delivering business benefits for clients across service areas including energy efficiency, adaptation, emission reductions, corporate strategy, and verification.
- Be a visible seller in the region.
- Work with global climate change team to help shape the strategy for growth and service excellence.
- Develop local/regional business development plan and lead sales and marketing activities in conjunction with key account managers.
- Be a go to resource on climate change issues.
- Lead client relationship and delivery efforts.
- Personally win at least $500,000 in new climate change consulting services
- Senior “Seller-Doer” for climate change services.
- Manage numerous climate change projects for a variety of clients.
- Work closely and develop strong client relationships to understand and develop sustainable strategies to address climate change needs.
REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE: Must possess solid experience assisting high potential clients to develop sustainable climate change opportunities. Typical experience should include, advising clients on the corporate strategy and business benefits of climate change related initiativessuch as energy efficiency, adaptation, emission reductions and verification. Ideal candidate has a consulting background with experience at the corporate level. Ideal candidate has 10+ years experience. Demonstrated leadership ability to build, coach, and mentor collaborative teams. Development and implementation of business growth strategies. High degree of technical competence and broad knowledge of climate change practice area. Strong presentation skills for client meetings and other events. BS/MS Specialized courses or experience in climate change business desirable. PE or similar registration highly desirable.
