We are seeking a consultant to join our South West and Wales regional team who can bring expertise in sustainable built environment. The successful candidate will have the necessary passion, skills and vision to help grow this area of work in our region.Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in engineering, environmental science or a related discipline and have a sound technical knowledge of energy use in buildings and sustainable energy generation technologies.We are looking for candidates with experience in energy and carbon-related sustainable built environment work such as low energy building design (domestic and commercial), energy surveys, energy strategies for new developments and refurbishment projects, energy master planning, CHP and renewable energy feasibility and implementation. Candidates should also have a general understanding of other areas of sustainability such as water efficiency, transport and waste and sustainability evaluation tools such as the Code for Sustainable Homes and BREEAM. Experience of working in multidisciplinary design teams will be an advantage. You must be able to show excellent planning and organisation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms. Applicants with a flair for business development are preferred.This is predominately a regional role, with travel to client’s sites as required.
