The British Council’s global Climate Change Programme team needs a communications specialist to help them increase the scope and scale of the programme’s reach through excellent media management and internal communications. Experience in climate change work is not essential; what is essential is professional experience in media and internal relations. The global nature of the British Council’s Climate Change Programme means that as well as leading the media strategy for China’s Climate Change Programme you would be in charge of internal communications for the worldwide Programme. You would keep the British Council offices – based in more than one hundred countries - informed of the Programme’s successes; you would share best practice and ensure that media engagement is given high priority throughout the British Council. In charge of corporate communications for the Climate Change Programme you would make sure that the Programme’s significance is reflected in high-quality corporate communications and materials. If you have three years managerial experience in Public Relations or Communications, and want to work with a dedicated team on a Programme at the forefront of political, scientific and cultural discussion, we would like to hear from you. Requirements:
Salary and benefits: The above position includes a gross salary of RMB 24,000 per month before deductions, 22 days annual leave per year, and medical insurance. The British Council is looking for a Communications Manager for its China Marketing and Communications team. This post is being advertised both internally and externally. The successful post holder will be based in Beijing. The key objective of this post is to lead and grow the communications (P.R. focus) operation in North China, in line with our Global Communications, and China Integrated Marketing Communication Strategy, and to meet agreed financial/volume targets and all relevant quality standards. P.R., Internal communications, Branding and Account Management are key functions covered by this post. Requirements:
