Description

My client is a world class manufacturer of wind turbines, that work on an international stage. They have massive growth plans for both the off and on shore wind industry and have an international reputation for excellence. This client is looking to take advantage of the high demand in Europe and ensure that they are part of all major wind development processes in both the on and offshore market.

 

Position Overview:

The client requires international and local professionals who have exceptional knowledge of both the on and offshore wind industry. They require a senior business development manager to play a major role in the bid process of on and offshore wind developments across the UK and internationally.

 

Responsibilities:-

  • You will work closely with the development, projects, manufacturing and operations team in order to work together  in the coordination  of products and business development in the market
  • You will have exceptional contacts in the market having worked for some of the major players in the international market.
  • Key contact of the company in order to develop strong relationships with new and existing contacts in the wind market
  • Ensure that my client is in the bid process for large scale on and offshore wind farm developments
  • You will travel extensively across Europe developing and maintaining key relationships in the on and offshore wind market
  • Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff
  • Manage performance of sales team and representative organizations
  • Design strategic plans for global and strategic accounts in the on and offshore market
  • Team coordination at a national and international leve

Education:-

Science or Engineering discipline degree minimum, with PHD or MSc preferable

Core Requirements:-

  • You must have 3-5 years business development or sales experience in the wind market
  • You must have 7-12 years experience in the wind industry
  • Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  • Ability to manage multiple large scale projects

General Requirement

  • Ability to travel internationally
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
  • Excellent ability to communicate and work in English is a must with the ability to communicate in other European languages a bonu

Key Skills:-

Energy, renewable energy, construction, onshore, offshore, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines/generators or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, project managers, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
