Are you an experienced licensed bat ecologist with a passion for the provision of high quality ecological expertiseIf so, you could be just the person we need to join our established and successful Ecology Services department Senior Bat Ecologist Full time, 35 hours £25,000 to £29,000 dependent on skills and experience. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our established SWT Ecology Services team and contribute to the ongoing delivery of high quality ecological advice. Educated to degree level, with a passion for wildlife conservation, you will need to be enthusiastic and well organised. The successful applicant will be an experienced ecologist and holder of a Level 2 Bat Class survey licence, although applicants working towards their Level 2 licence may be considered. You will need to be passionate about biodiversity enhancement and committed to providing ecological advice that supports the aims and objectives of Surrey Wildlife Trust. The role is ideal for someone looking to progress to the next stage of their career, or be a leading figure in growing the team’s bat experience. The role will involve managing projects throughout the project lifecycle, including quoting, undertaking field work, preparing high quality technical reports and liaising with the client and other relevant stakeholders. The role will be predominantly field-based in the Surrey region with some travel to neighbouring counties required. This role will require flexibility and involves travel between survey sites. A full UK driving licence is necessary. Surrey Wildlife Trust is dedicated to protecting Surrey’s wildlife.
