We are seeking a Senior Air Quality/GHG Engineer & Project Manager to lead a rapidly growing southern California-based air quality and emissions management practice group for a leading environmental consulting services firm to support permitting activities, environmental impacts studies, litigation support, and compliance support for industrial and public sector clients. The senior project engineer will supervise and mentor associate engineering staff while managing a team working on a diverse portfolio of public and private sector air quality projects among the petroleum production/refining, power generation and heavy/light industrial manufacturing industries throughout southern California. Specifically, they will oversee the development and technical aspects of the final CEQA/NEPA documentation related to air permitting, air emissions inventories, regulatory compliance evaluations, control technology evaluations, and air quality impact studies, including air dispersion modeling studies and health risk assessments. They will also conduct greenhouse gas inventories and emissions reduction assessments on behalf of clients. The ideal candidate will possess 8+ years CEQA/NEPA experience in air quality services, including extensive technical experience with regulatory air dispersion modeling, health risk assessments, air permitting, greenhouse gas management and compliance evaluations. Successful project management and client management experience is a must, including a demonstrated track record solving air quality compliance problems, managing client expectations, supervising staff, and managing project budgets. A plus for consideration would include marketing and business development experience along with a highly visible community profile (i.e., among federal / state / local government officials and agencies, civic and professional organizations, etc.). Mechanical, Environmental, Aerospace or Chemical Engineering, or comparable engineering degree, is required; M.S in Engineering preferred P.E. registration a plus.
