Description
The postholder will develop and advocate policy on a range of agriculture, rural development and food-chain issues, with UK accountability for RSPB work on key policy areas. The postholder will prepare and present the RSPB's policy positions, respond to consultations and other policy development processes in these policy areas, advocate the RSPB position at a senior level to external contacts, and develop and manage projects that contribute to the RSPB's goals in these areas. The postholder will work as part of the Agriculture Policy team and will give guidance to RSPB Directors and staff, at HQ, regionally and in country offices; and may be expected to line manage staff. The post will contribute significantly to the RSPB's agriculture campaign and help in meeting our objective of reversing the decline in farmland birds.
