The incumbents will assist with conservation planning and development as well as the management of indigenous biodiversity, alien plants, animals, fire and cultural heritage resources. Visitor management and services and institution development will also form part of your duties.
Candidates must have a minimum of a National Diploma in Nature Conservation or 5 years’ relevant experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and training. Completion of a Peace Officer’s Course as well as training in First Aid Level 1, firearm handling, tactical self defence and possession of a firearm licence would be an advantage. Training and experience in fire management including wild fires, prescribed burns and fire proofing of the urban edge is essential, as is a valid driver’s licence.
