SEBANE is a business association of solar energy companies based, or doing business, in New England. Their membership includes companies from all sectors of the solar photovoltaic and thermal industries, including PV cell and module manufacturers, component part manufacturers, project developers, system designers, and installers.
We are currently seeking outstanding candidates for an unpaid internship with our organization. The ideal candidate will be available 10-20 hours per week, demonstrate an interest in energy and environmental issues, and possess strong writing skills. Candidates should also have an understanding of the legislative process, keep up with current events, and have the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Computer literacy (online research, familiarity with Word, Excel, etc.) is expected.
The internship may work remotely, or out of our downtown Boston offices. The position may also occupy space in various member organization offices throughout MA and other New England states providing additional exposure to member businesses.
Primary Responsibilities
- Drive membership outreach and organizational participation
- Improve communication channels between Board members and constituents
- Attend government hearings and other policy events on behalf of SEBANE
- Research and present on key issues affecting the industry
- Assist with the development of budgets and financial modeling
- Maintain and update website
- Assist with programming and logistics for special events
