Ecus Ltd are looking to immediately recruit Seasonal Ecologists into our expanding Sheffield office to work within our ecology team. The successful applicant will be joining a well established and reputable company to assist with the delivery of a diverse range of ecological projects across the UK. The work will provide a great opportunity to learn practical survey, assessment and reporting skills, with an emphasis on assisting with protected species surveys.
Training will be provided on an on-going basis to ensure the necessary skills are developed to support the ecology team in all aspects of ecology work. We initially require staff to work on short term summer contracts, with the possibility of these becoming permanent positions.
The successful candidates will ideally have:
? An education to degree level or higher in ecology or closely related subject. ? Good IT skills, preferably with some experience of GIS. ? An interest in ecological consultancy and an enthusiastic and positive attitude. ? A willingness and the flexibility to travel, work unsocialable hours and stay overnight in locations across the UK, to assist in the delivery of field surveys. ? The ability to start work with minimal notice period. ? A full UK drivers licence and preferably their own car. ? Some demonstrable experience in undertaking protected species and/or ecological survey works.
