Description

This project is looking for willing pairs of helping hands at an important nesting site for Leatherback, Green and Hawksbill sea turtles. Volunteer duties include beach patrols, hatchery work, maintenance work and helping at the sea turtle rescue centre. This project provides a unique opportunity for volunteers to experience a true community-based conservation program in the middle of a rainforest which is only accessible by boat. No special qualifications or skills are required.

The project costs £12 per day which includes accommodation, three meals daily, orientation and training. Please note this price is exclusive to Volunteer Latin America and other volunteers from around the world will pay £30 per day.

Volunteer Latin America offers numerous other environmental projects where you can volunteer abroad for free or at reasonable cost.
