Job Description: We have openings for our full-time, seasonal science instructor positions. As an instructor, your main job will be to teach the students that visit us. You will be teaching various coastal ecology classes, along with team building and evening classes. During our field trips to Cumberland, Okefenokee, and Jekyll, you will also be leading and educating a group of students. Experience in teaching and working with children is required to be considered for a position. In addition to teaching, you will also assist in daily tasks such as animal care, tank maintenance, and various office projects. Qualifications: BA/BS in biology, ecology, or related field. Must be enthusiastic and demonstrate excellent teaching ability with elementary through high school students. Flexibility, responsibility, a passion for learning, and a willingness to work long hard hours are essential. Must be able to walk 5 miles and lift 50 pounds. Benefits: Weekly salaries are $300 - $350, depending upon experience. Meals are provided throughout the work week, which is a $65/week benefit. Housing is also provided on site, which is an additional $50/week benefit. Meals and housing come with your weekly salary to create a total benefits package. On top of these benefits, instructors are given two paid vacation days and two paid sick days. Training for all job responsibilities is also paid time. |
