Work on a tropical island in Seychelles saving wildlife
Post: Science and Conservation Officer Job Description: To undertake conservation work on “one of the world’s great conservation success stories”, the award winning Cousin Island Special Reserve Location: Cousin Island Special Reserve Salary and benefits: SR 20,000.00 to 25,000.00/month depending on qualification, experience and attitude. Local insurance, uniform, housing including water, electricity and cooking gas working equipment and materials including computer, internet package and mobile phone are provided. If the person is an expatriate living overseas, a return ticket from and return to home country is provided for the contract period; government bond and gainful occupation fees are also paid. Length of contract: 2 years Qualifications: University degree(s) in conservation or environmental sciences and at least 3 years work experience. PADI Advanced Open Water diving qualification with 50+ dives including survey dives. Computer literate in Microsoft Office and use of statistical package. Emotional maturity, cultural sensitivity, physical fitness and ability to work in a remote condition with minimal supervision are highly desirable traits.
