Description

My client is a vertically-integrated manufacturer of PV cells, modules and custom-designed solar power applications. They deliver solar power products of uncompromising quality worldwide. They are one of the fastest growing companies in the solar industry. They operate across three continents, delivering solar modules to customers in over 30 countries today.


Position Overview:
Maximizes revenues through the direction of account sales managers and account sales reps.  Plans and implements sales, marketing and product development programs, both short and long range, targeted toward existing and new markets. The incumbent does not directly generate revenue, but is responsible for revenue generation through the direction of strategic account managers and reps. Develops and designs plans and strategies to support selling to strategic accounts.

Responsibilities:-

Forecast & Planning (40%)

  • ·         Collect and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual sales demand forecasts and contracted demand data
  • ·         Communicate product availability to sales representatives; develop and implement related processes
  • ·         Coordinate with regional components purchasing, warehousing and logistics groups to ensure timely supply of integrated solar solutions; collaborate with Director of Sales Operations Europe General Manager Europe to design and implement related processes
  • ·         Develop and implement processes and process improvements related to forecasting and planning to adapt to rapid growth and development of the company

Information Management (~30%)

  • ·         Leverage global CRM system to collect and analyze sales and sales operations data, including forecasting, pricing, competitive intelligence, order management, inventory management and other
  • ·         Collaborate with global team to develop and maintain analytical tools for sales and sales operations dat
  • ·         Monitor performance and compliance of regional/local sales representatives using CRM system

Sales Policy & Process (~30%)

  • ·         Contribute to development, implementation and communication with sales representatives of global and Europe regional pricing policies
  • ·         Collaborate with Europe regional and global Credit Control to develop and implement credit control processes
  • ·         Collaborate with Global Contract Manager to manage contract data; develop, implement and communicate contract control processes
  • ·         Monitor sales representative compliance with channel management, agency and other policies

Education:-

  • ·         MBA or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Business Engineering or comparable preferred

Core Requirements:-

• Three or more years of experience in solar industry, emerging technology, alternative energy or semi conductor business preferred

• One or more years experience in working with CRM and/or sales information management systems preferred

• First-rate Microsoft Excel skills

• Languages: English fluently; German, Mandarin Chinese, Italian and/or Spanish preferred

• Proactive attitude, initiative to take on challenges and excellent problem-solving skills a must

• Excellent teamwork, communication, collaborative and cross-cultural skills essential

General Requirements:-

Ability to travel

•Proficient with making impactful presentations

•Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities

•Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Solar PV, sales, forecast & planning, sales policy & process and/or information management experience
