My client is a global manufacturer and distributor of PV modules and have established themselves as market leaders in the German PV market. They are now expanding their operations into the UK PV market and are now looking for an experienced sales manager to bring on board who can expand on the success that they have had in Germany in the UK.

 

Position Overview:

My client is looking for an experienced sales manager with experience in the UK PV market. You will be responsible for building and developing distribution channels for their PV modules and in time developing a sales force that can drive my client into being one of the market leaders in the UK also.

 

Responsibilities:

  • ·         Take the lead in revenue generation.
  • ·         Establish key relationships and distribution channels for PV modules.
  • ·         Define sales and marketing strategies according to the UK climate and market and in line with company guidelines.
  • ·         Establish and grow key relationships with new and existing customers
  • ·         Provide aftersales support to customers, resolve complaints and resolve sensitive situations
  • ·         Conduct market research and analysis to ensure that the business plan is moving in line with the market
  • ·         Coordinate with the marketing team for local exhibitions to increase brand awareness
  • ·         Liaise with the technical department so as to be able to provide the best quality of advice and support to customers
  • ·         Source new clients to generate new streams of revenue

 

Education:

  • ·         MSc or BSc in Business Management or Sales and Marketing is desirable

 

Core Requirements:

  • ·         Must have 3-5 years experience in Solar PV sales
  • ·         Must have experience in establishing distribution channels
  • ·         Must have strong negotiation skills
  • ·         Be able to develop rapports and build relationships as you will be acting as a brand ambassador
  • ·         Will be a target driven individual
  • ·         Must be innovative and a problem-solver

General Requirements

  • ·         Strong communication skills
  • ·         Must be willing to travel frequently
