Sales Manager of the South West USA, California, $60-80 + BonusrnrnMy client develops, manufactures and markets high-quality photovoltaic modules as well as developing their own

My client develops, manufactures and markets high-quality photovoltaic modules as well as developing their own projects.

Position Overview: 
A key managing member of the Business Development Solar Solutions team focused on developing and managing sales, solutions and project opportunities throughout the Southwest Region. Primary emphasis of positioning my client into the lead module and solution position with strategic contractors, developers and distributors with a focus on value added sales. This individual will be responsible for a specific geographic territory within the Southwest region

Responsibilities:-
- Develop strategic client relationships
- Negotiate complex “solution“ oriented transaction
- Collaborate openly with a layered development team based on the East Coast. 
- Create and manage strategic alliances focused on solution selling
- Mentor and develop clients, with a strong emphasis on financing
- Successfully hand off the daily management and inter-workings with clients to the inside sales team
- Collaborate in the development and execution of the strategic business plans for each vertical, initiative and territorial region
- Sales and Channel Activities
- Achieve monthly, fiscal and yearly sales goals
- Manage existing solar customers and establish new solar customers 
- Train new and existing customers
- Conduct customer sales presentations
- Manage and respond to leads
- Participate during industry meetings and conferences as required/Attend and participate during trade shows as required

Education:
- Bachelors Degree in communications, finance, business administration or other related field preferred or equivalent work experience

Description of tasks:
- Support the utility, sales, fulfillment and delivery teams in the finding, developing and closing of projects and sales throughout the Southwest US.
- Manage channel conflicts and develop strategy to cultivate, grow and promote our key allies in the business development process.
- Strong interface with corporate credit, manufacturing, engineering, and solutions to enhance project success.

Core Requirements:
- 5+ years business development experience
- 2 years renewable energy experience
- 2 years minimum direct solar PV experience
- Strong computer skills: MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Must have a proven track record of success

General Requirements:
- Knowledge of and participation in energy financing required
- Extensive travel (more than 50%)

Key Skills:
- Solar PV, negotiations experience, sales experience, solar product (wafers, ingots, modules and/or inveters) sales experience and team leadership
