My client is a German OEM of onshore wind turbines and service provider, focusing on commercial scale wind projects. Backed by a strong investor in U.S, the company has a successful four-year operative track record in seven countries. They are headquartered in Hamburg and are currently looking for a strong candidate with a proven track record in sales.

Position Overview:
My client is looking for a regional sales manager for wind turbines. You will be responsible for sales of wind turbines to project developers, investors and utilites/ IPPs.

Responsibilities:
• Take the lead in revenue generation.
• Define sales and marketing strategies according to the region climate and market and in line with company guidelines.
• Establish and grow key relationships with new and existing customers
• Provide aftersales support to customers, resolve complaints and resolve sensitive situations
• Conduct market research and analysis to ensure that the business plan is moving in line with the market
• Coordinate with the project management, service & after sales and legal departments.
• Liaise with the technical department so as to be able to provide the best quality of advice and support to customers
• Source new clients to generate new streams of revenue

Education:
• MSc or BSc in the industrial field ( engineering, natural sciences or business administration) is desirable

Core Requirements:
• Must have 5 years experience in international sales of complex products, ideally in the wind industry or in engineering
• Must have strong negotiation skills
• Be able to develop rapports and build relationships as you will be acting as a brand ambassador
• Will be a target driven individual
• Must be innovative and a problem-solver
• Fluent in English and German

General Requirements
• Strong communication skills
• Other European languages are a plus
