This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment; capable of developing strategies, tactics, key relationships with utilities, project developers and financial institutions.
The candidate will need to have the vision and experience to manage senior level relationships in our existing and future client network, as well as an international background to approach with ease different business environments across France and selected new markets across Europe and North Africa
Key Responsibilities
• Identify new opportunities, forecast orders to ensure quarterly and yearly achievement of sales targets • Selecting and driving to conclusion opportunities ranging from € 10M to € 100M With utilities, financial investors and project developers • Prepare and recommend strategies to enter new growing markets identifying partnerships at institutional level, as well as in the business and financial community • Define guidelines and priorities in the preparation, submission, and closing of quotations • Working with in-house counsel to define contract terms in given territory • Liaise at all levels within SunPower team to circulate information across sales channels • Present sales pitches to senior level management • Work with the Sales and Marketing team to prepare market assessments, competitive analysis and sales forecasts • Maintain knowledge of market trends, regulations and tariffs relative to solar industry • Liaise at all levels within SunPower European team and Customer organizations
Education and Experience
• Min 10 years business development experience in energy or related industry selling complex high value systems on a turnkey basis • BS degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience/exposure • Proven manager with demonstrated strategic planning and execution experience • Highly effective communicator capable of presenting in oral and written form data to support arguments and executive decision-making • Highly detail-oriented • Existing executive-level contacts in the energy industry at operators, construction companies and/or financial institutions level • Negotiations experience in project finance deals • Strong interpersonal skills from technical to business level • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Effective team contributor and member • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Experience in building economic business case for customers • Fluent in French, English
The position will be reporting to the Director of Sales Europe and will be based in our HQs in Geneva. Product portfolio will include all equipment and services offered by SunPower for utility scale power plants
