Description

My client is the leading wind turbine manufacturer. They are a dominate force in the supply of on and offshore wind turbines. They have manufactured and installed a large number of the wind turbines internationally in both the on and offshore wind market.  

Position Overview:
My client is looking to recruit a senior sales manager to lead the negotiations process across the USA and expand the utilisation of the companies wind turbines in the US. They are looking to make a strong impact in the growing offshore US market were they currently have a number of projects in the pipeline.

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         You will report directly to the USA director of sales in one of the most recognized wind companies in the world gaining market connections that will put you in an excellent position within the industry
  • ·         You will lead negotiations in sales of wind turbines to developers in the US and work closely with the international team to best expand to company growth
  • ·         Negotiate terms and conditions with developers, with a full knowledge of the legal requirements within the US market.
  • ·         Consulting with clients on cost Vs benefit ratios
  • ·         Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company
  • ·         Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in project development
  • Open up new markets and sign major contracts
  • Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services

Education:-

  • ·         Must have strong educational background and knowledge of the wind energy market

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have 10 years sales or negotiations experience
  • You will have at least 1-3 years expereince in the wind industry both onshore and offshore
  • ·         Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements in the wind industry
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven track record in wind business development and growth
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         A background in the technical element of wind development is a bonus
  • ·         Excellent report writing ability

General Requirements:-

  • Ability to travel frequently to client sites
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:-

Wind Industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in the USA is a bonus and team leadership.
