Following rapid expansion in the renewable energy industry and the desire for UK businesses to reduce energy costs and become greener, we now have a requirement to grow our sales function. This is a new role, which offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of Wind Direct’s ongoing success. JOB PURPOSE/PRIMARY OBJECTIVES To play a major part in the continuing growth of the Wind Direct business in the UK With professional sales skills, find, develop and gain client commitment for Wind Direct opportunities Through Client relationship management play a key role throughout the life-time of a project The role will be target driven by both team and individual objectives
KEY TASKS/DUTIES Sales and Sales Management Secure Client Commitment to projects through signing Transaction Agreements in order to meet business plan targets Develop a network of potential clients, introducers and sites in order to maximise market penetration Responsible for proposals, tenders and pricing in collaboration with the sales function, commercial, and marketing teams Liaise with clients to interpret requirements and meet needs, maintaining a professional and close relationship with all clients Attend and lead meetings with clients Manage projects from desktop study, pricing analysis, through to handover to the Wind Direct development team Assist in the development of the proactive site finding process including initial visual assessment of sites on the ground Represent Wind Direct in the market as a leading professional renewable energy company, including attending exhibitions and conferences when required Work closely with the Wind Direct Sales support team continuously looking to improve processes and efficiency Working with the marketing team to protect and improve the image of the Company through web sites, sales & marketing materials, exhibitions & stands, advertising & publicity, newsletters Work closely with the development and construction teams to ensure up to date knowledge of developbale / buildable projects and utilize this knowledge throughout the sales process Maintain data and information on the client/project management system Potential cold calling of clients in order to promote and sell the Wind Direct concept Travel extensively in the Midlands and South
General Propose, agree and see through initiatives which meet any aspect of the company objectives Work with the Wind direct team in its entirety to deliver overarching Wind Direct business plan goals Communicate effectively across the organisation and manage handover to Development Project Managers through the Head of Development Providing feedback to the management team via the Sales Director Work with the Sales Director and sales team to provide market and sales projections for board meetings and input to business plans Carry out all duties and work in accordance with the quality systems procedures operated by the Company
