Description

My client is a leading European manufacturer of electronic products, with a strong focus on the renewable power industry. Servicing the European PV industry, they are well-respected for their inverters and have had strong growth in 2010 due to an influx of orders. To capitalize on the growth of the market and demand from customers, they are looking for a solar photovoltaic central inverter Sales Engineer to work in their Italian operation, selling to developers/integrators of renewable energy and installers.

Responsibilities:

  • ·         Travel frequently to meet, pitch to and sign up new clients
  • ·         Bring on board significant new client accounts whether installers, system integrators or project development EPCs
  • ·         Use your outstanding technical knowledge to explain complicated processes and products in a client friendly way to new and existing customers
  • ·         Take responsibility for training customers on the products you are selling and ensuring they have the best possible knowledge of inverters
  • ·         Acting as a brand ambassador and ensuring you understand all of your company’s USPs for clients in the solar PV market (unique selling points)
  • ·         Closing deals and completing all relevant documentation
  • ·         Negotiating terms and conditions, including pricing, on inverters

 

Skills and qualifications:

  • ·         Degree in electrical engineering from a top university
  • ·         At least 3+ years’ post-degree experience in the solar PV electrical market
  • ·         Proven experience working with and managing relationships with clients in the Italian solar photovoltaic market
  • ·         At least 1 year of sales experience within the Italian solar PV market

 

Other requirements:

  • ·         Speak and write Italian to native level: advanced spoken and written English
  • ·         Able and willing to live and work in Northern Italy
  • ·         Able to begin a new role by the beginning of December 2010
