My client is a major player in the carbon market they are recognised as one of the market leaders internationally. They are involved in large scale developments of CDM projects in a variety of renewable energy technologies.
Position Overview: My client is looking to take on a Sale Director to oversee and manage the sales team based in Zurich. They will help to encourage environmentally and socially responsible practices within companies internationally.
Responsibilities:-
- · Coordination of sales activities globally this will including coordinating with the marketing team
and with regional offices on the project side
- · You will report directly to the Vice president of sales in Switzerland
- · You will lead negotiations in sales of sustainability techniques to clients in the UK and work closely with the international team to best expand to company growth
- · You will work on expanding the company’s market recognition internationally and maintain it recognition as a market leader internationally in the alternative energy and sustainability company
- · Consulting with clients on cost Vs benefit ratios of sustainability developments
- · Will be expected to proactively source new clientele and generate new revenue streams
- · Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the renewable energy company
- · Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in project development
- Open up new markets and sign major contracts internationally
- Identify market potential; initiate sales process; close sales; expand sales in new and existing accounts; contribute information to market strategy and recommend new products and services
Education:-
- · Must have strong educational background and knowledge of the alternative energy ans sustainabilty market
Core Requirements:-
- You will have 10 years sales or negotiations experience, with a proven track record in B2B negotaiations
- · 4-5 year experience in the carbon markets
- · Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
- · Proven track record within the sustainability market
- · Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
- · Ability to manage multiple projects
- · Excellent report writing ability
General Requirements:-
- Ability to travel frequently
- · Proficient with making impactful presentations
- · Exceptional managerial expertise
- · Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
- Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies
Key Skills:-
Carbon industry, negotiations experience, business development and sales of wind turbines or wind developments in the UK is a bonus and team leadership.
