Our client operates two of the largest gas distribution networks in the UK. This exciting vacancy has recently arisen for an SHE professional to join its team. You will be responsible for monitoring and working together with operations to ensure compliance with all legislation and company policies pertaining to health, safety and the environment and the company’s safety management system. Tasks will include undertaking audits and inspections, risk assessment, incident investigation and providing advice and support within the business. In addition, you will be involved in the development of health, safety and environmental policy and procedures in order to ensure that statutory requirements and company objectives are met. You will have an analytical approach that will enable you to identify operational safety, health and environmental problems and recommend effective and practical solutions, and will have the skill and drive to help successfully implement those solutions. You will ideally have had experience at management/supervisory level, and will have good influencing and communication skills. You must have a good standard of education, preferably with an appropriate professional qualification along with experience and knowledge of gas transportation activities. |
