Description

We're looking for a specialist to support, influence and motivate our leaders to drive a cultural change within our people to continuously improve our safety and health performance. You'll provide leadership, strategic direction and professional advice to support the Safety and Health team assist Meridian to achieve its vision of creating and maintaining the safest and healthiest workplace possible.

You'll support the implementation of the safety and health framework and champion the culture by providing operational safety and health support across the organisation and in particular within the Wind and Renewable Development areas by being embedded into their leadership teams.

Experienced in operational health and safety in high risk industrial environments, you'll have a strong understanding of relevant legislations, acts and requirements.  You'll also have the ability to analyse current state of situations and introduce a cycle of continuous improvement.  Skilled in relationship management with success in promoting behavioural change, you'll have excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills and proven networking experience.  This will all be supported by a relevant tertiary qualification in health and safety management or equivalent experience.
