Blue Marine has an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to support the development of East Anglia’s seascape scale restoration project. East Anglia’s waters were once home to abundant seagrass, saltmarsh and oyster habitats but have since declined. Blue Marine is aiming to restore, protect, and re-establish connectivity between these highly degraded and fragmented marine habitats to safeguard biodiversity, climate, and local livelihoods. This is an incredible chance to join a highly impactful charity at the cutting edge of marine conservation, and an opportunity to lead the development of a new project that addresses some of the biggest challenges faced in the marine environment to date. The Project Manager will work closely with Blue Marine’s wider restoration team, and other stakeholders to conduct the feasibility for seascape scale habitat restoration within Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk. The post holder will also support Blue Marine’s some support wider work across East Anglia including supporting low impact fisheries and creating effective marine protected areas. Salary: £29,000 – £33,000 pro rata, per annum depending on experience Contract: 12 Month Fixed Term contract, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.
