The Residential Solar Consultant will be responsible for the following:

  • Generate sales leads and follow up on office inquiry calls;
  • Produce sales orders by convincing customers on the merits of the financial, technical and/or environmental properties of a solar system;
  • Make business decisions relating to the appropriate sales price for a solar system;
  • Coordinate advertising measures with the marketing department;
  • Analyze market parameters such as demographic and income data, and business competitors;
  • Network in the community through attending events such as Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, etc.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must live in the San Jose area;
  • Two to three years of outside sales experience;
  • Bachelors Degree from Accredited University;
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision after appropriate training has been given;
  • Ability to learn a technical product;
  • Ability to effectively educate the public about solar electricity;
  • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines;
  • Communicate information both orally and in writing;
  • Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks;
  • Clean driving record;
  • Strong Creativity & Enthusiasm.

Compensation will comprise of a base salary plus a substantial commission package.  The commission package is designed to encourage high performers and does not contain a ceiling to earning potential. Those individuals that can make deals happen will be compensated accordingly.
