My client is one of the leading solar PV integrators in the USA and is the leading East Coast Integrator. They are expecting to double their sales over the next 2 years and are in a period of exciting and rapid growth. They are looking to recruit  a sales manager to join their team in the New York area.

Position Overview:

My client is looking for a result driven sales manager to expand the growth of the company and sales in the  New York/ New Jersey area. The position will require developing strong sales skills and an excellent understanding of the Solar PV industry.

Responsibilities

  • ·         You will report directly to the Vice President of Sales with the US in order to achieve targets and set goals within the region
  • ·         Establish both market and target customer strategies for the market.
  • ·         Provide leadership to the day-to-day operations of the regional sales department while maintaining focus on the company’s strategic goals
  • ·         You will be in charge of monitor actual sales results versus budgetary forecasts monthly.
  • ·         Define price strategy for current and new products and help meet the corporate target gross margins
  • ·         You will use your strong sales skills and technical training to explain the key components of the product
  • ·         You will be required to developed relationships with new clients, negotiate and carry through the business process with key clients
  • ·         You will be in charge of recruiting and training your team to encourage the growth of the company
  • ·         Handle complaints from customers or others stemming from actions in the Sales & Marketing Department

Education

A relevant degree in either engineering with an MBA a bonus.

Core Requirements

  • ·         At least 5-10 years of sales experience
  • ·         At least 2-3 years in Solar PV sales
  • ·         Be knowledgeable of the solar market and industry trends, competitors and the competitive landscape, and leading customer acquisition strategies
  • ·         Have experience in developing and executing tactical sales plans

 

General requirements

  • ·         Be highly organized and have very effective time management skills
  • ·         Be a demonstrated leader among employees
  • ·         Be highly computer literate and use sales database tracking programs
  • ·         Strong negotiating skills and capacity
  • ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ·         Proven leadership ability to influence, develop, and empower employees to achieve objectives with a team

Key Skills:-

Solar PV sales experience, team leading, training and strong negotiation skills required
