We are looking for an ecologist to join our team of 3 other reserves ecologists, based in Edinburgh, and tasked with ensuring that our nature reserve network of 70,300 hectares of land in Scotland is managed in ways that safeguard or enhance its nature conservation value. You will have a relevant degree in ecology, zoology or similar. You should have 2 years experience of conservation land management practice, and an ability to transfer conservation knowledge into action on the ground. You will have excellent computer literacy, as well as experience of analysing simple data and report writing. You will have a good knowledge of the ecology of Scotland's habitats and species, and of the principles of habitat management for birds and other taxa. You will be a good communicator and team player, able to work effectively within the species and land management department of RSPB Scotland, and with our regional and site staff.
