We are seeking a talented and motivated early- or mid-career applied economist to join a multidisciplinary team of economists, geographers, ecologists and social scientists, conducting policy-oriented research into environmental and sustainability issues. If you are seeking an exciting and varied role with considerable autonomy to lead and manage projects and to develop proposals for new research, this position may interest you. We welcome international applicants for this permanent, full-time position based in our Auckland office. You will contribute your expertise in applied economics to a range of interdisciplinary research projects. These projects involve collaborations with leading research groups in New Zealand and overseas. Suitable applicants will have a PhD and a minimum of two years post-doctoral experience in environmental, agricultural, resource, or other branch of applied economics. We are seeking in particular, researchers with strong technical and analytical skills in at least one of:
