The Environment and Forestry Division is seeking an Environmental Research Scientist to apply scientific and/or engineering expertise to projects related to lifecycle assessment (LCA) modeling and greenhouse gas (GHG) management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and conducting research for LCA modeling projects that includes scope identification, data collection and modeling, as well as GHG management projects such as carbon offset project development, inventory and GHG assertion calculation, and verification. You will communicate with clients, collect, analyze, and interpret data, assist with business development, develop project proposals, and contribute to report submissions. As a member of the team, you will continue to build knowledge and expertise, staying current on relevant areas of science, industry needs, and methods.

As the ideal candidate, you have three to five years of experience in LCA and carbon offsets and an advanced degree in Environmental Science or Engineering. You are a dedicated and self-motivated professional with strong communication and problem solving skills and are able to deliver quality work both as part of a team and in an independent environment. Experience with SimaPro computer software and in bioenergy-related projects would be an asset.

The position is located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
