Key accountabilities:
Provide strategic vision and scientific leadership to more than 100 researchers, and coordinate broader biodiversity-related activities across CSIRO and research collaborators, to enable delivery of research outcomes of national significance.
Develop stakeholder confidence through identifying and securing investment in the research, and ensuring its adoption.
Ensure effective management of CSIRO’s biodiversity research portfolio to deliver planned outcomes on time and on budget.
Identify and attract the research capabilities required for success.
Direct project activity and create a work environment in which teams and individuals can realise their full potential.
Ensure appropriate protection of intellectual property.
Lead the development of research partnerships with Government and industry stakeholders
