The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)in Golden, Colorado, is the nation's primary laboratory for research, development and deployment of renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies. NREL's Theoretical Materials Science Group in the Chemistry and Materials Sciences Center has an immediate opening for a short term (5 months) visiting researcher position for studying graphene and energy storage materials. This position is meant for promotion of collaboration between NREL and academics.
Perform theoretical studies to understand the mechanism of energy storage (electricity, thermal hydrogen and graphene related OPV Materials). Disseminate research results through publications.
Senior Scientist, engineer or other professional with 4 or more years of experience.
Professor, scientist, engineer or other professional with more than five years of experience after Ph.D.
Ph.D. in Physics or Chemistry and a strong background in theoretical materials physics with experience in quantum mechanics and electronic structure theory and outstanding publication records.
