RES UK & IRELAND HSQE MANAGER (Quality & Environmental Bias)

RES UK & Ireland's skills and expertise encompass all aspects of site prospecting and
assessment, wind farm design and optimisation, consenting (including environmental
assessment and financial engineering) right up to the turnkey construction and operation &
maintenance of operating a wind farm. Due to continuing expansion of the company including
interests in Biomass and Solar developments, we wish to recruit two further Health, Safety,
Quality & Environmental (HSQE) professionals to report to the Head of HSQE and support our
increasing business needs. The positions will be based at our Kings Langley headquarters.

The RES UK & Ireland HSQE Manager will be responsible for the following:

. Reporting to the RES UK & Ireland (UK&I) Head of HSQE (HoH) on the current
status of the RES UK & Ireland HSQE Management Systems (MS).

. The day-to-day management, maintenance and development of the RES UK&I
HSQE MS, including all measures to ensure continued certification to ISO 9001
and 14001 and attainment of OHSAS 18001.

. Supporting the HoH in meeting the declared HSQE Policy, Objectives and
Targets.

. Maintaining and reviewing the RES UK&I HSQE Manuals.

. Managing audit schedules, to achieve suitable monitoring and auditing of RES
UK&I projects in accordance with defined objectives and departmental
performance in all HSQE matters;

• Perform audit
• Provide immediate support and guidance following audit
• Issue audit report in timely fashion etc
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to effectively close out agreed
actions


. Review Supplier approval documentation, complete Supplier audits; either as
part of the approval process or on a routine basis as agreed with HoH and
dictated by audit schedules.

. Monitoring RES Group support services to ensure that required support, as
defined from time to time, is provided to all RES UK&I Projects.

. Provide HSQE awareness training for all RES UK&I employees and promote
the benefits of embracing the HSQE MS.

. Provide Accident / Incident / NC statistics, reporting and trend analysis to HoH.

. Accident / Incident / NC investigation and implementation of corrective /
preventive measures.

. Attend meetings as required by HoH.


. Enhancing the role of HSQE in all RES business activities.


The successful candidate will;


. Have proven HSQE experience working on large new build infrastructure /
refurbishment projects, related to civil, electrical and mechanical engineering.

. Hold a recognised Lead Auditor certificate (eg IRCA) and hold professional
membership of a British quality / environmental institution (eg MCQI / MIEMA).

. Have proven working experience of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards and their
successful implementation.

. Have a recognised safety qualification (minimum NEBOSH Diploma or
equivalent).

. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and influence at all levels,
within the organisation and externally with clients, suppliers, trade bodies etc.

. Possess a working knowledge of OHSAS 18001 and related certification
process, as the role will require the ability to audit across the HSQE spectrum,
although additional training will be provided to the successful candidate.

. Knowledge of European Quality and Environmental Standards would be advantageous.

. Ability to work at height; training and medical will be provided.

. Hold a full UK driving licence.

. Ability to travel to Operational sites throughout UK & Ireland, visiting Clients and Suppliers across Europe (approx 10 days / month).

. Good IT, information systems skills and competence with Microsoft packages;
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project Manager.

. Renewables experience would also be beneficial.
