From our offices in Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Manila we lead globally important campaigns within a national and regional context. We are financially supported by tens of thousands of people across the region. To remain independent we have a policy of not accepting funding from companies and governments and therefore only accept donations from individuals and private foundations. Position Summary The campaigner will serve as the Greenpeace representative on Climate and Renewable Energy issues in Southeast Asia based in Jakarta, Indonesia and work towards delivering the objectives of GPSEA’s campaigns within the framework of Greenpeace’s broader goals. In certain situations as determined by external events and upon the recommendation of the Country Director and/or the Programme Director, the campaigner will be expected to move between issues and campaigns as needed. It is expected that at least 75 % of the campaigner’s time will be spent in Indonesia working on renewable energy issues as well as work in other Southeast Asian countries as required. This is an initial 1 year contract position based in Jakarta. Key Duties 1. Under the guidance of the Climate and Energy Campaign Manager and/or the relevant Project Leaders, develop a work plan in line with the short and long term campaign goals and set project objectives while taking into account regional and global campaign priorities:

Assist the Climate & Energy Campaign Manager, Project Leader and Country Director (Indonesia) in designing the Indonesia Climate and Energy campaign and implement strategies to mobilise various stakeholders in the country and when necessary regionally to support GPSEA’s campaign issues and goals;
3. Direct, organise and participate in non-violent direct actions to support and advance campaign goals. 4. Respond to and engage in internal as well as pressing external regional challenges as determined by the campaign team through the campaign manager and project leader beyond his/her normal issue/campaign area as circumstances require. 5. Perform other job-related duties as requested or assigned by the Climate & Energy Campaign Team Leader, Project Leader and/or Country Director. Educational Background & Fundamental Qualifications
