State energy efficiency resource standards create a market for energy efficiency that encourages utility companies to run cost-effective efficiency programs. These programs have saved families billions of dollars, and increased America’s energy productivity (fewer kWh of energy needed per dollar of GDP) throughout the last decade.
Opower seeks a Policy and Research Intern for the summer of 2012 (twelve weeks), to work with our team to further promote energy policy in the US. Internship projects will be designed to elevate Opower’s standing in the policy community, and push the national energy efficiency dialog forward.
Day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include research, quantitative analysis, and writing arguments in support of behavioral energy efficiency. Work products may include presentations, white papers, and op-ed letters.
