IUCN is a membership Union uniquely comprising both government and civil society organizations. It provides public, private and non-governmental organizations with the knowledge and tools that enable human progress, economic development and nature conservation to take place together.
IUCN supports its members in the implementation of natural resources management projects and for this purpose became an implementing agency of the Global Environment Facility (GEF) in 2014 and an accredited entity of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) in 2016. In order to support a growing portfolio of projects funded by these two funds, the IUCN is seeking to hire a Regional Task Manager for the West-Africa region. The position will be based at the IUCN regional office for central and west-Africa in Ouagadougou, Burkina-Faso.
