My client  is one of Asia’s leading technology companies and over a number of years built up a strong track record in the manufacturering of both crystalline silicon and thin-film solar PV cells and modules. They are currently looking to expand their operations and as such are looking to recruit an individual to lead their sales and busines development functions in italy and the Southern European regions.


Core Criteria:
My client is
looking to recruit a regional manager to lead their sales team and oversee their sales operations worldwide. The sales director will be responsible for driving worldwide sales of their products.

Responsibilities:-

  • Full responsibility of the commercial, technical and organisational interests in Italy
  • ·         Explore new customers and markets in Europe for Solar Cells & PV Module Sales

     

    ·         Develop Customer and Channel relationships

     

    ·         Facilitate post sales services

     

    ·         Improve coverage and awareness by running time bounds programs

     

    ·         Represent the company’s brand in front of sales accounts

     

    • Maintaining and developing existing and new clients and fostering effective relationships with key stake-holders and decision makers
    • Direct the support services department’s activities to achieve the objectives established in the company’s Strategic Plan
    • Develop and/or maintain and improve business relations with all existing and potential customers of the company

    ·         Negotiating terms and closing deals

     

    ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations

     

    ·         Manage customer accounts in line with business strategy and marketing plan

     

    ·         Manage and expand existing accounts and develops new accounts in order to sell company’s products

     

    ·         Define opportunities and sales proposals

     

    ·         Ensure high customer satisfaction at all times

    Education:-

    ·         Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering or comparable (Master’s degree a plus)

    Core Requirements:-

    ·         3-5 of experience in technical products sales in Photovoltaics

     

    ·         5-10 years sales experience in total

     

    ·         Should be well versed with B2B & B2C sales practices, with special focus on contract sales & distributor / dealer / stock-point management in solar business.

     

    ·         Project Financing skills/Existing relationship with banks.

     

    ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results

     

    ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization

     

    ·         Ability to manage multiple projects

     

    ·         Demonstrate in-depth sales and marketing techniques and financial principals

    General Requirements:-

    • Ability to travel

    ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations

     

    • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

    Key skills:-

    • Solar PV, negotiations experience, good technical knowledge, sales experience, solar product (wafers, ingots, modules and/or inveters) sales experience,  fluency in English and Italian(any other European language is beneficial) and team leadership
