We’re experiencing a dramatic period of growth, which means, for you, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to join us and make your mark.  AEA delivers the Envirowise contract in Wales on behalf of the Welsh Assembly Government.  Envirowise is a respected and successful Government-funded programme that offers free, independent, confidential advice and support to UK businesses on practical ways to increase profits, minimise waste and reduce environmental impact.Envirowise in Wales is seeking to recruit an inspired individual as a Regional Manager to champion business sustainability within Wales.  This post is for a self-manager to take ownership of the local Envirowise delivery, working with regional organisations and the Envirowise team to deliver tangible business benefits from sustainability. Based from home with frequent contact and reporting to the Envirowise office in Cardiff,  the Regional Manager will take the lead in delivering the strategic regional delivery plan for Envirowise. They will continue to foster close working relationships with key organisations in the region to further deliver the regional priorities for business sustainability, liaising with the Envirowise Wales team to secure services in support of delivery. For further information on the Envirowise programme visit www.envirowise.gov.uk The successful candidate will be a self-starter, professional in their approach, focussed, an excellent communicator and be able to network at all levels and prepared to work as part of a wider team. You must have a proven track record of working with businesses and business support organisations, an up-to-date knowledge of UK environmental issues and a desire to use their knowledge in this role to deliver productivity gains for businesses through improved resource efficiency.  In addition, you will be aware of regional sensitivities and be able to engage with a wide range of organisations to quickly identify key opportunities for Envirowise, drawing on your knowledge of business planning to help target resources effectively and monitor their impact.  A flexible approach will be essential, ideally with experience of remote working.
