Description

My client is amongst  the leading renewable energy providers globally, and have a very strong business plan and balance sheet. They a specialize in the manufacturing of crystalline silicon modules and are also a leading residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV developer with a strong market presence in Europe, USA and the Asia-Pacific regions. As they operate and maintain a number of projects in the European and US market they are looking to recruit  a senior candidate to manage all their  projects across Europe (Italy, Greece, Spain & Eastern Europe).  The Regional Asset Manager  will be responsible for overseeing project warranties & Operations and Maintenance (O&M), this is a very important role as they will have full profit and loss (P&L) and operations accountability. They will also oversee after-sales claim management, costs & operational coordination.

 

Core Criteria:
My client is seeking Regional Asset Manager  who has a strong technical and commercial experience in asset management and (O&M) of residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects.

 

Responsibilities:-

 

  • ·         Develop and setup the O&M offering in Europe
  • Management of the O&M of plants in Europe (Italy, Greece, Spain & Eastern Europe
  • Coordination of contracts and liaising with subcontractors
  • Due Diligence
  • Weekly reporting to the Global Asset Management Director comparing the results with the targets of the budget
  • Participating in the draw up of bid documents and contracts
  • Evaluating and selecting offers from contractors
  • Supervising the local teams of the plants
  • Manage plant performances, production monitoring and forecast, meters values collection, Feed-in tariff procedure, energy sales and invoicing process
  • Manage PV Plant Health, Safety and Environment ensuring compliance with Italian Lauws
  • Provide engineering judgment to complex system issues
  • ·         Oversee all  Warranty & Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities on residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects
  • ·         Oversee sales support for warranty & Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts to ensure  profitability targets and contract due diligence
  • ·         Scheduling and managing maintenance, module washing and repairs
  • ·         Monitoring of assets from a technical and commercial perspective
  • ·         Commercial management of asset (invoicing customers for energy services or Renewable Energy Credit (REC) sales)
  • ·         On-site visits and systems verifications
  • ·         Manage commissioning & handover process of projects from project delivery to asset management
  • ·         Oversee and manage departmental budget and expenditure

 

Education:-

  • ·         Undergraduate degree in Engineering (MSc Advantage).

 

Core Requirements:-

  • At least 5-7 years relevant operations and maintenance experience (O&M) with a proven track record within this area (solar PV experience preferred)
  • ·         On-site DD (due diligence and O&M (operations & maintenance)  management experience
  • ·         Commercial contract negotiation delivery experience
  • ·         Practical experience in safety
  • ·         Must have a good knowledge of design, O&M, reliability and performance of PV systems
  • ·         Practical experience with solar systems and components

 

General Requirements:-

  • ·         Willingness to travel to sites around Europe
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  • ·         Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects

 

 

Key Skills:

Solar PV, Engineering Background, residential, commercial and utility-scale solar PV projects , O&M Manager, Asset Manager, fluency in Italian ( any other European language is an advantage, team leadership and complex stakeholder and customer management experience, potential to create an grow a new business or function
