My client is amongst  the leading service provider to the renewable energy market, with a strong market presence in Europe, the USA and the Asia-Pacific regions. As they operate and maintain (O&M) a number of projects in the European and US market they are looking to recruit  a senior candidate to manage all their  projects across South and the Midwest regions of North America.

Position Overview:
The Regional Asset Manager successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing project warranties & Operations and Maintenance (O&M), this is a very important role as they will have full profit and loss (P&L) and operations accountability. The Regional Asset Manager will oversee after-sales claim management, costs & operational coordination

Responsibilities:-

  • ·         Develop and setup the O&M offering in North America
  • ·         Provide engineering judgment to complex system issues
  • ·         Be the ‘go to’ expert in all aspects of Wind Turbine Operations and Field Maintenance over various technologies
  • ·         Oversee all  Warranty & Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities
  • ·         Oversee sales support for warranty & Operations and Maintenance (O&M) contracts to ensure  profitability targets and contract due diligence
  • ·         Monitoring of assets from a technical and commercial perspective
  • ·         Health Safety Security Environment (HSSE) matters on-site
  • ·         Commercial management of asset
  • ·         Support business development activities for technical services; seeking new potential customers, assisting with quotations and contract negotiations
  • ·         Oversee all performance management and reporting activities
  • ·         Create annual plant operating budgets – revenues and expenditures
  • ·         Manage commissioning & handover process of projects from project delivery to asset management
  • ·         After Sales claim management
  • ·         Accountable for key customer after sales customer experience
  • ·         Resolve warranty claims
  • ·         Stakeholder management
  • ·         Oversee and manage departmental budget and expenditure
  • ·         Have oversight of the wind technician work force including coaching, constructive performance appraisals, hiring, new employee orientation and ensuring an overall high-performance team

Education:-

  • ·         Undergraduate degree

Core Requirements:-

  • ·         Experience in operations safety management
  • ·         Strong experience in various turbine technologies: turbine engineering, O&M, reliability and performance of turbines
  • ·         Management of contractors in the field
  • ·         Monitoring and communication systems
  • ·         Personal commitment to keep HSE and Quality right
