Job Description

The Aniwaniwa Area is seeking a fit, energetic, experienced and multi-skilled person for visitor asset and infrastructure maintenance work, based at Lake Waikaremoana.

 

The focus of this position is to work in the Visitor Assets Team three days of each week; and to carry out maintenance, repairs and monitoring reports on the Area’s new and extensive sewage and water plant two days of each week.

 

Essential skills for this position include:

  • A full driver’s licence including Heavy Trade
  • Experience and certification with chainsaws and ATV
  • General engineering certification or at least strong general skills and experience in maintaining, repairing and running small plant and pumping equipment
  • Qualification or at least past good experience with boats
  • Comfortable working alone for extended periods
  • Bushcraft and back country experience
  • Strong planning and organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
