Self-employed Membership Recruiter (Commission only, OTE £450/3 day week)Self-employed contract to October 2008 Are you interested in helping wildlife and getting paid for it too?! Are you a people-person and passionately interested in the environment?  The RSPB relies on public support to enable us to carry out our vital conservation work.  We need confident, outgoing people to talk to the public about our work and recruit new RSPB members at events across the South Downs region. You already have the perfect mix of sales/marketing and interpersonal skills, combine this with a passion for wildlife and voilá – you’ll be signing people up to support our campaigns in no time! Campaigns like “Save the Sumatran Rainforest”, “Stop Climate Chaos”, “Save the Albatross” and “Stop Bird of Prey Persecution”.  We’ll pay you commission when you sign up a new member to Europe’s largest conservation charity. Rest assured that 100% of all the membership subscriptions you raise will go directly to the RSPB to be used for one of the campaigns above, or to educate school groups, or to keep over 200 reserves running, or to lobby the government, or to demonstrate against an airport being expanded…the work is endless, and that’s why we need determined people who won’t get upset if somebody says “no”. Instead, you’ll bounce back and find the next person who believes that our shoreline should be protected by law, rather than being squeezed to destruction or over-fished.   If you are interested in the flexibility that self-employment offers, three days per week (including weekends) with uncapped commission and training/support directly from the RSPB (not an agency) then please contact joe.richardson@rspb.org.uk or ring 01273 763619.
